It’s Canteen time again and June’s event has been billed as a huge “Best of the Best” line-up.

Happening on Friday 30 June at LCB Depot on Rutland Street, the event is expanding with an additional event entrance opening on Colton Street with extra traders, covered seating and additional entertainment. So what are you going to be eating this month? Here’s an exclusive look at the trader menus.

The hugely popular boutique cocktail bar will also return in association with William Grant and Sons along with one of the UK’s leading bartenders, Stephen Pennack, who is back after such a fantastic event in April. With summer finally here The Boutique Bar will also be providing refreshing slushie cocktails in collaboration with Sub Zero Slush. This month the exclusive after party for Canteen will be taking place at The Shed, around the corner from the event on Yeoman Street, from 9pm featuring Mr Hickford from Promised Land playing funk, soul & disco with a range of special drinks offers. Malaysian Beef Rendang – Their signature dish. Classic Malaysian curry using five hour slow cooked Irish flank steak served with the Canoodle twist of soured mango
Vietnamese Chill Pepper Squid – Line caught squid coated in our  secret blended spiced flour and fried to order
Vietnamese Temple Tomato and Black Pepper Curry – A refreshingly zingy Summer curry with a hit of black pepper served with crispy fried cod cheek or tofu (vegan)
Vietnamese Bao Burgers – Everything you expect in a Bao but in larger Brioche Bun. Choose from sweet glazed belly pork or chilli tofu (vegetarian)
Korean Tofu Popcorn – Possibly the best thing vegans will ever put in their mouths and quite tasty to meat eater too! Our secret cooking process totally transforms the taste and texture of tofu giving crispy fried nuggets of deliciousness, served with Korean lettuce salad, Ssamjang dip and Spicy Yuzu mayo (vegan)

All food is nut and dairy free (with the exception of Bao burgers which contains mayo). All curries and squid are gluten free.

Grays will be offering an all Vegetarian menu this month:
Beetroot & Coconut Curry – Freshly made curry using local ingredients served with spiced cottage cheese and fresh naan
Chilled Cucumber & Yoghurt Soup – A refreshing and cool soup with great flavours
Santorini Tomato Fritters – A greek influenced dish consisting of tomatoes, mint and onion fried in a light batter

Canteen takes place at the LCB Depot on Rutland Street on the last Friday of every month. The event kicks off at 5pm and all trader menus are subject to change and availability of ingredients.
