Popular local independent burger chain, Boo, have opened their latest restaurant in Leicester City Centre. The new spot on Gallowtree Gate is their 10th venue and their 4th in Leicestershire. .
Boo began life with their restaurant on London Road, which became a huge hit for their smash burgers and shakes. Since then, they’ve gone on to open at Fosse Park and Loughborough, as well as Nottingham, Manchester, Birmingham and as far as Abu Dhabi.
The latest restaurant is on Gallowtree Gate in the city centre, in the former Footlocker unit. Right by the Clock Tower. With space to dine inside, you can sit and enjoy your meal inside or grab to take away.
So what is it about Boo that’s made it so popular?
If you haven’t had a Boo Burger yet, where have you been? Everyone raved about them for a reason, because those smash burgers are one of the best around. Not only that but their toppings including their crispy onion strings are to die for. Make sure you try The Haystack, loaded with onion strings, gherkins and burger sauce. Furthermore with the beef burgers you can tailor it to how hungry you are, going for either a 4oz, 6oz or 8oz.
For non-beef eaters, don’t worry you’ll be spoilt for choice too. The stand out star is their Booloumi burger with Yorkshire Halloumi cheese, crispy onion strings and sweet chilli sauce. The Chick-A-Boo is also a hit, as well as their Go-Chu, packed with Korean buttermilk fried chicken, Asian slaw and Gochujang mayo.
With loaded fries (including epic cheeseburger loaded fries), chicken bites, wings and more, there’s a feast to be had.
If you’re in town with the kids, then you can nip in for their children’s menu too. Kids can choose from crispy chicken bites, a chicken fillet burger or cheeseburger with fries and a drink for £6.45.
One last thing to mention. The breakfast. Yes, it’s not all about Maccies at breakfast time. Boo serve breakfast until 11am with handcrafted breakfast burgers served with a side of potato rostis. The egg comes topped with American cheese and maple sriracha mayo, plus add in bacon, sausages, chicken and more.
And that all-day brunch Espresso Milkshake is a must try!
