Snakes at Leicester Museum & Art Gallery
Running throughout the summer holidays
This family friendly exhibition includes displays of taxidermied snakes, skeletons and models. Visitors can come face to face with iconic reptile specimens, including a Rattlesnake, a Green Anaconda and a Burmese python. Includes engaging interactives for children and adults to learn about snake species, how snakes see and feed, how they have adapted to different environments, and how camouflage works.
Cops n Robbers at Guildhall
Thursday 25 July
Calling all cops to the Guildhall, home of Leicester’s first police station. Take the kids to visit the victorian police cells and have a go in the stocks. Make a police dog glove puppet and other crime fighting crafts. Follow the trail of clues to solve a crime and take a look in our cops n robbers dressing up box.

101 Dalmations at Curve
23 – 27 July
The smash hit musical 101 Dalmatians is coming to Curve this summer, starring pop iconFaye Tozer(Steps) as the greatest villain of them all, Cruella De Vil.
When fashionista Cruella de Vil plots to swipe all the Dalmatian puppies in town to create her fabulous new fur coat, there’s trouble ahead for Pongo and Perdi and their litter of adorable, tail-wagging young pups.
Summer workshops at Curve

Despicable Me 4 at Phoenix

Everyone’s favourite supervillain-turned-agent is back for a bold new era of Minions mayhem! Gru and the family welcome a new member to the family, aptly called Gru. Jr, who’s intent on tormenting his dad. Enjoy the latest instalment in the comfort of Leicester’s own independent cinema, and enjoy a bite to eat in their cafe bar whilst you’re here.
Supercars at Highcross
Saturday 3 August
Celebrity car customiser and BBC Three sensation, Yianni Charalambous, is set to arrive at Highcross Shopping Centre this summer with a supercharged and exclusive one-day event.
The former recruiter-turned car entrepreneur who has customised vehicles for the likes of Harry Styles and Gordon Ramsay, is partnering with Highcross and This is Flourish to bring his supercar show, and pop-up shop, to Leicester on Saturday 3 August.
The supercar show, taking place at Highcross between 10am – 5pm, will feature a star-studded line-up of 7 luxury sports cars.
During the free event, Leicester’s car enthusiasts will be able to take a closer look at some world’s best supercars and purchase merchandise in the Yiannimize pop-up shop
An Indian Summer
9 – 11 August
Celebrating South Asian arts & culture, An Indian Summer returns to the city centre this summer. Join them on Friday 9 August for a Bollywood outdoor cinema experience on Jubilee Square (free entry), then on Saturday 10 August head to the Cultural Quarter for a takeover with music, family workshops, outdoor cricket, Indian street food and more. Dinosaur World Live at Curve
6 – 8 August
Dare to experience the dangers and delights of Dinosaur World Live in this roarsome interactive show for all the family.
Wizard School at Guildhall
8 August
Bring your young witches and wizards to our magical themed fun day. Make a floating candle, feather pencil and wizard hat, then follow the trail to find the witches and wizards. Book online.
