New restaurant klaxon!
We love a new restaurant opening here at Cool As Leicester and Boneyard, which is opening in November on Granby Street, looks like a great addition to the city. With a tagline like Meats & Beats what’s not to like?
So what’s Boneyard about? In their own words…
“It’s loud, extrovert and unashamedly funky. Don’t assume the usual monotonous meal out, what you can expect is dark and damn right dirty….the tunes keep coming thick and fast, and so does the liquor.”
Locally sources, high quality meat and produce meets multicultural cooking techniques to bring an interesting menu that will have all meat fans getting excited (plenty of veggie options also available).
Eat, drink, dance and get messy, that’s their motto. It’s not just about the food as they have a hip hop, house, funk and soul music policy and live bands coming up too, plus a fantastic sounding cocktail menu (a new one to add to the search for Leicester’s best Espresso Martini).
The menu doesn’t take itself too seriously with items called “Snatch”, “Well Hung” and “If Ghandi Wore Nikeys” and some of the descriptions seem really interesting, so we’re looking forward to finding out more!
I think we’ll be going for the Provocative P.I.G. (slow cooked pork shoulder, hot scratchings, dirty hummous, slaw and pickles tucked into a freshly baked flatbread).
