Yes festival season is upon us once again, that’s come round fast!! You don’t have to travel all the way to Glastonbury to indulge in the activities as we’ve got some great festivals right here in the Midlands. None of them better than Splendour down the round in Nottingham!

Held in Wollaton Park on Saturday 20th July, the line-up at Splendour this year is hard to beat. For starters there’s homeboy Jake Bugg who’ll be knocking out the tunes from his number 1 album and over on the other stage will be indie darlings Maximo Park. With other performances from Scottish girl with guitar, KT Tunstall and 70s and 80s New Wave stars, Squeeze, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. If you’re into searching out new bands and artists you certainly won’t be disappointed as Nottingham’s own up and coming stars Dog Is Dead lead the way, with Jack Sovoretti and Park Bench Society being other highlights.

Comedy, stalls, bars, kids zone, funfair, it’s a proper family day out. Kids under 10 years old can even go completely free of change. For everyone else it’s £37.50 for the day and you can purchase your tickets from HERE.
