Few things excite us more than a new Japanese restaurant in Leicester.
Sakura has recently opened in the centre of town, taking over a first floor space in the centre of High Street.
Sakura offers a fantastic selection of freshly prepared sushi, sashimi, Japanese starters and mains, in a lovely setting, with cherry blossom ceilings and intricately carved wooden doors.
The entrance is a small door off High Street, which may seem one you’d easily bypass, but you mustn’t. Set between the nail bar and the karate school, it’s a hidden gem right in the city centre.
One stand out feature that has to be mentioned is their private dining space. They have 2 private dining areas, which are a unique feature for Leicester. Seating 10 people per space, or opening the partition to host 20 people, you can enjoy a Japanese feast in your own personal party space.
