As Leicester emerges from lockdown, one of the city’s most popular independent coffee shops has a fresh new look and a special reopening day offer.
The Coffee Counter on Bowling Green Street has undergone a full refurb and will be doing Buy One Get One Free on coffee all day on Monday 12 April. How does the offer work? For each coffee you buy on Monday 12 April you will receive a full stamped loyalty card allowing you to return on another day for a coffee of your choice free of charge.
The refurb has seen The Coffee Counter bring their roastery back on site, and you can now see the process in action as you enter the coffee shop. Over lockdown The Coffee Counter has been continuing to supply their retail customers with their locally roasted beans to enjoy a fine cup of coffee at home, but we’re sure people are just as excited as us to be able to visit in person again as well.
The coffee shop has also created a wonderful new basement space to provide more seating, which will be a big hit once indoor hospitality is allowed to open in May. The space features a large table in the middle of the room with cosy spots around the edge, plus has plug sockets by each table for those looking to get some work done.
Upstairs, the look is modern and sleek, with the in house roastery in full view so you can see just how local the coffee is that you’re drinking.
The Coffee Counter is on Bowling Green Street and will be open from 10am – 3pm Monday – Saturday. Visit on Monday 12 April to get a fully stamped loyalty card with every coffee that you buy.
