One of our favourite night out spots will be re-opening for outdoor drinks from 12 April. Times are TBC so keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.

Bunk

Everyone went crazy for this when we announced on social media that Bunk would be coming to Leicester. Loved in Nottingham for their wings & cocktails, they’ll be opening on Granby Street from Monday 12 April with limited outdoor seating. No bookings, just turn up and grab a seat.

Crafty / St Martin’s Coffee

Crafty and St Martin’s Coffee will open for outdoor drinks and dining from Thursday 15 April. They’ll have burgers on the menu in the daytime too. No reservations!

Grays

Grays will reopen on Monday 12 April and will be open Monday – Saturday. They’ll be serving a brand new al fresco brunch menu, with a few specials in tow. On the weekends they’ll continue to host socially distanced outdoor dining every Friday & Saturday night night, showcasing their seasonal small plates and they will also be opening as a beer garden every Wednesday & Thursday from 5pm – 10pm. They’ve even installed a brand new outside bar. Book via the website.

Exchange Bar

Excited to get back to evenings out in the Cultural Quarter. The Exchange will be opening from 12 April wiht outdoor table service. Limited spaces and booking encouraged. Email [email protected] to book.

King Richard III

The pub on Highcross Street was taken over by new owners mid-lockdown so this is the first time they’ll be able to open! Join them for drinks from Thursday 15 April. No bookings, just turn up.

Lane7

Did you get a chance to enjoy Lane7 before restrictions came in last year? They will be re-opening their outdoor areas with street food and cocktails PLUS they’re opening a huge new 500 capacity outdoor area on the next door car park. Plenty of space for you all to head down and enjoy top food from their line-up of street food traders. Bookings are open now via the website.

Pho

Vietnamese cuisine is back as Pho will re-open their outdoor dining area on 12 April. No advance bookings, just turn up and eat.

Tamatanga

Tamatanga will re-open on 12 April with full outdoor dining. No bookings, just turn up and be seated. Great modern Indian menu plus cocktails (with Happy Hour 2 for 1 cocktails between 12pm 7pm).

The Bottle Garden

The Bottle Garden in St Martin’s Square will re-open on Monday 12 April. They won’t be take bookings but pop by and see if they can fit you in cocktails!

The Case

The Champagne Bar courtyard (heated and under cover) will be open from 15 April every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11.45am – 10pm. Bookings can be made in advance for a maximum of 4 people per booking and they’ll be reserving some tables for on the day walk up too. They’ve got their bar menu running for food and their usual range of fine champagnes and cocktails. Find the menus on the website.

The Globe

The Globe is one of the oldest pubs in town and always a good bet for lunch and a pint. They’ll be re-opening from 12 April with new outdoor furniture and a new menu, but they won’t be taking bookings.

The King’s Head

The roof terrace and courtyard at The King’s Head on New Walk/King Street will be re-opening on 12 April. Expect table service, great beers and pub cobs.

The Salmon

Beer lovers get yourself booked in down at The Salmon. With a great selection of drinks plus an outdoor TV showing the sport, it’s a great spot. You can message them via Facebook to book a table. Walk ins also welcome.

The Tree

The Tree has put a marquee over the garden to cater for all weather. Bookings are now open via the website with covered or uncovered seating options.

Turtle Bay

Re-opening on 12 April you can grab a table outside for food or cocktails. Their bottomless brunch (available every day) and 2 for 1 happy hour will also be returning and be available outside. Bookings now open via the Turtle Bay website.

Wygston’s House

Wygston’s House has expanded the beer garden out over Jubilee Square and it looks brilliant. Open from 12 April, no need to book.

City outskirts

The Belmont

The Belmont Hotel will open its terrace for outdoor dining from 12 April, serving an all day menu from 12pm – 8pm. Bookings can be made by calling 0116 2544773 and walk ins are also welcome.

Natterjacks

Let’s Burrito have taken over the kitchen at Natterjacks and their outdoor dining area on the decking will be opening from 12 April. Check out the menu via the website.

The Bridle Lane Tavern

A lovely outdoor spot and Zion’s Community Kitchen sorting the food menu! Head down for bao, burgers and beers. Find them on Lower Willow Street. Open from Monday 12 April.

The Cradock

The Marquis Wellington

The Real Ale Classroom

The Verandah

A lovely new addition to Queens Road, we can’t wait to visit The Verandah for a proper sit down experience of their Anglo-Indian fusion concept. They’ll have a couple of tables outside from 12 April to enjoy daytime treats like their Mumbai Melt sandwich, and into the evening for dinner, drinks and more. Don’t miss their tasty gin cocktails!
