This weekend sees the return of Western Park Beer Festival on the 9th and 10th September.

Taking place across Friday and Saturday, Western Park Beer Festival has raised an excellent amount for charity over the years. The return this weekend will see an epic beer and cider line-up as well as food options and family fun.

This year the Festival will be raising money for 3 local charities, B-Inspired, Home Start and The Laura Centre. Priced at £5 entry (including a free glass) with the following opening times:

Friday 9 September: 5pm – midnight (adults only)
Saturday 10 September: 12pm – 5pm (family session with additional Letchworth Road closure with family fun)
Saturday 10 September: 6pm – midnight (adults only)

Craft Ale Bar

Designed to provide all the punchy hop character of an IPA but at a seriously sessionable strength. Dry and light but with oat, Vienna and Munich malts giving body and a touch of biscuit sweetness.

Juicy Pale is a hop forward hazy golden ale. Brewed with four hop varieties for a full-on fruity passionfruit and orange flavour combining with wheat and barley to create a great body.

Super easy drinking Porter created using five different malts, with demerara sugar and English Bramling hops, infused post fermentation with Mocha flavouring.

Rich chocolatey coffee porter is back! This batch was brewed with coffee from Stewarts coffee roasters on Sneinton Market.

Cinnamon, vanilla milk porter. Brewed with crystal malts, lighter chocolate malts and brown malt. We added lactose for body and sweetness alongside natural vanilla and cinnamon.

Craft Keg Bar

A summer-long special with grassy and citrusy flavour makes this beer extremely thirst quenching and moreish in character, with a dry yet refreshing bitterness.

An amber lager which is brewed in a Vienna style creating a medium bodied, crisp and dry lager with a caramel malty finish! Perfect for those looking for big flavour in a refreshing beer.

Simcoe aligns with Idaho 7 for a rounded and harmonious pale ale. Notes of fresh nectarines, delicate pine, and blood orange, with a bitter-sweet finish which will keep you coming back for more.

Dry and light-bodied to better showcase the individuality of the hops in both aroma and flavour. A basic recipe is followed, with each batch utilising different hop varieties from around the world based on seasonality, availability, and the whims of the brewer.

Cold IPA was fermented with our house lager yeast at high temperatures and then dry hopped with cryo Citra and cryo Tallus hops. The result is an explosion of tropical fruit, with a bone dry, bitter finish.

A fruit sour beer with over 200g per litre of cherry puree added to the fermenter creates a bitting summer bitter which is both sour and refreshing.

This is a smooth and fruity dry cider made with 14 different varieties of apple from Charnwood Cider’s own orchard.

This is a medium cider made with a blend of locally collected apples from orchards around the Charnwood area.

The exotic taste of mango is fused with our traditional cider to produce the perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.

Thirsty Farmer has been combined with delicious strawberries to create a craft cider with a hint of summer. Golden in colour with a slight red hue, this cider has a gentle soft fruit aroma.
