IT’S PANCAKE DAY!
Not sure where to go for your pancake fix? Here are a few ideas for you…
KAI
Because the pancakes at Kai are incredible. Grab yourself a stack of 3 or 5 with toppings including Greek yoghurt, granola, cinnamon and strawberries or you could even go for the insane Red Leicester, bacon, onion and maple syrup.
Serving until 8pm.
Kai is in St Martin’s Square.
Firebug
Firebug are serving up cocktail inspired pancakes including Blueberry Mojito, Raspberry Daiquiri, Gin & Tonic and more. They’ll be serving from midday right through until 10pm.
Firebug is located on Millstone Lane.
Bill’s
Bills are serving up a special pancake menu all week. Go savoury with the sweetcorn pancakes, poached eggs, feta and avocado, traditional with lemon & sugar, or go all out with caramelised banana and salted caramel ice cream.
Serving all day until 10 March
Bill’s is located at Highcross.
Northern Cobbler
The home of crepes in Leicester. At Northern Cobbler on Queens Road every day is Pancake Day. Their range of sweet crepes and savoury galettes cater for every taste, so what better excuse to give it a try if you haven’t already! Our personal favourite is the galette with smoked salmon, poached egg, avocado and cream cheese. Open until 5.30pm.

James’ Cafe Bistro
Whether you like American style, crepes, sweet or savoury – James’ Cafe Bistro has you covered. They’ll be serving up their range all day with a large choice of toppings. Have it as lunch or a main meal, or treat yourself as dessert.
James’ is located on East Bond Street.
Pho
How about something a bit different? Pho will be serving up their Bánh xèo. A savoury Vietnamese crispy crepe with rice papers & herbs available with chicken and prawns or tofu (vegan). It’s on the menu as the starter but can offer a perfect pancake day fix.
Pho is located at Highcross.
GRAYS
We haven’t caught sight of GRAYS pancake day menu, but seeing as we’ve eaten pancakes there for the last few years running we’re willing to bet they’ll be on again. They’re always super tasty and available to eat in or take away. Check their Facebook for daily menu updates. Last year they had this awesome Millionaire Shortbread creation! Until 3pm.
