The Pug & Greyhound in Great Glen is under new ownership and has been renamed The Italian Greyhound.
Whilst still operating as a pub and open throughout the week, they will be slightly more restaurant led with a range of Italian dishes set to appear alongside other pub favourites including their popular Sunday lunch.
Diners can look forward to a set lunch menu option with 2 courses for £15 including Arancini, Parmigiana Di Melanzane, Canneloni, Steak and pizza and pasta options. Their full evening menu offers Antipasti, Polpette homemade meatballs, Sea bass and Bouillabaisse, Steak, Burgers and a selection of pizza and pasta options, from Tagliatelle Salmone to homemade lasagne.
The chef has also kept on some non-Italian favourites, including traditional fish & chips and Nasi Goreng.
On Sundays guests can choose from a traditional Sunday lunch of Roasted Chicken Supreme, Topside of Leicestershire Beef, Roasted Rolled Pork Belly, Mediterranean Vegetable and Nut Roast, or a Trio of meats. Pizza and other main courses will also be available on Sundays, with food served from 12pm – 6pm.
A spokesperson for The Italian Greyhound commented, “We will still be operating as a pub as well, but we are aiming for it to be more restaurant led. We’ll be open like normal but with new ownership and lots of new things planned.”
Gluten free pizza and pasta options are available on request.
