National digital radio station Union JACK Radio, renowned for its unique offering of British comedy and all-British music, has announced the launch of a nationwide comedy club, with new Leicester comedy venue The Big Difference partnering to host a number of the events.

The Big Difference is set to open in autumn, taking over the venue formerly known as The Cookie, and The Union JACK Radio Comedy Club provides the first public programming announcement for the venue.

Created to show support to the British comedy industry and to help comedians and venues whose lives have been adversely impacted by the effects of the global pandemic, The Union JACK Radio Comedy Club will run for an initial six-month series, with live comedy nights also taking place at The Frog & Bucket (Manchester), Giggles Live (Hull) and Chuckle Busters (Bristol).
