Leicester’s inclusive grotto returns for 2022, and is back bigger and better than before, with a new location and facilities.
Last year, the Inclusive Grotto welcomed hundreds of families, offering a space for children with additional need to enjoy the magic of Christmas. Like 2021, this year the grotto will be designed to welcome children and adults with any and all special needs.
The grotto remains 100% free to visit and each session will be customised to meet each person’s sensory preferences.
Booking for the grotto is open now and this year it will have a new home with a new location in Leicester Forest East. The new venue will enable organisers to offer free parking, additional outdoor space, Christmas tree market and a hot chocolate station.
The grotto is once again funded by the McKeefery family, inspired by their 5 year old son who suffers from a rare disease and sensory impairment. The family are assisted by a wonderful team of volunteers and sponsors who help to ensure the grotto is enjoyed by all. This year the grotto will also be supporting Menphys.
