With a drive to support disabled children, young people and their families in Leicester and Leicestershire, Menphys is a charity that is making a wonderful impact on the local community.

With the aim of identifying unmet needs and offer effective support, one step has been the creation of the Menphys Sports Club. With a different approach to many charity business clubs, Menphys have structured the club around sporting events and the sporting community, with all funds going directly back to help fund more sports provision for children and young people with disabilities.

Through businesses joining the Menphys Sports Club and attending the programme of events, they can help to ensure local children receive better access to sporting activities. The benefits of sport and physical activity in children’s physical, mental, social, and emotional development are well-documented, being linked to cognitive benefits, learning ability, and better grade attainment for disabled children.

Yearly membership to the Menphys Sports Club is just £150+VAT per year, per member, and includes tickets to a minimum of 4 events as part of that membership. These events are hosted with well known figures from the world of sport and include a meal and networking opportunities as well.  Furthermore you’ll see your logo on the Menphys website as well as on social media and displayed at all events.

Past events with the Menphys Sports Club have included evenings with Emile Heskey, Leicester Tigers’ Harry Wells, former Leicester City turned commentator, Matt Piper, and more. The events offer guests a sit down meal, VIP prize giveaways, networking opportunities and also a meet and greet with the guests. And you never know who you might see, Premier League winner Wes Morgan even popped in for the Matt Piper event.

Most importantly, all funds raised go directly into supporting local sports provision for young people with disabilities. From access to equipment to enjoying professional basketball training, Menphys is proud to be ensuring local children can enjoy the positive benefits that taking part in sport can offer.

Menphys Sports Club helps to secure the provision of activities such as ensuring the Leicester Riders Foundation Camps are fully inclusive.

If you or your business would like to join the Menphys Sports Club simple head to the Menphys website and complete the online form.
