It’s hard to believe that this time of year has rolled around again, but with Summer Sundae now only just over a week away that means one thing and one thing only…it’s time for the Fringe Festival.

As always the Fringe will be raising money for charity by putting on a number of shows around the city, which will culminate in Fringe Thursday. It all kicks off on Friday with the launch party at Phoenix Square, where you can expect a video exhibition, live music and free flowing real ale. And that’s just for starters…

Our main tip for the week goes to Glastontree, which will be held at Orange Tree on Sunday from mid-afternoon until late. You can enjoy a BBQ, raffle and all sorts of tomfoolery whilst listening to the fantastic tunes of Grace Petrie, Tom Savage and many more.

There are loads of top class nights during the week and you can check out details of all of them right HERE.

Then it’s full steam ahead for Fringe Thursday! The night before the main festival it will all be going on around town! £5 per ticket will get you a wristband and access to all 8 venues, including unlimited travel on the festival buses which will be departing from De Montfort Hall and heading around town! Highlights include Kyte and Little Night Terrors at The Soundhouse, I Am In Love and The Screening at The Lansdowne, and an amazing line-up of comedy at The Crumblin’ Cookie, you won’t want to miss out! There are 8 venues in total so to check out all of the listings just head HERE.

Tickets are available from Fringe venues and Rockaboom. All profits go to LOROS, Prostaid and Rainbows. Support charity, support the local music scene and enjoy yourselves!
