How is it February half term already? If you’re wondering what you can do in Leicester to keep the kids entertained, we’ve got a few ideas for you right here.

E-sports camps at King Power Stadium

Leicester City in the Community will be running one day e-sports camps at King Power Stadium for those aged 8-12 or 13-16. The sessions are free to attend, but advance registration is required. Snacks will be provided for those attending.

If you’re based near Loughborough, Leicester City in the Community will also be running drop in skate sessions at Southfields Skate Park on Wednesday 22 February. Participants will be able to try skating with qualified coaches and free equipment on site – including pads and helmets.  Sessions are free and suitable for those aged from 5-18 years old. Sixes Social Cricket

The perfect afternoon out with youngsters as they can take to the nets at Sixes followed by burgers and shakes. Whether your little one is a keen cricketer or not, they’re sure to have fun seeing who can get the highest score and challenging their friends, siblings and parents. Congo River Crazy Golf at Blaby Golf Centre

Get over to Blaby Golf Centre to enjoy Congo River Adventure Golf. Consisting of 18 holes, it is a hit for all and guarantees a fantastic day out. The course is packed full of exciting features such as abandoned camps, aircraft wreckages and bridges across water. Open every day and no booking required. Whilst you’re there, make sure you stop by at the on site Okapi Kitchen to sample their delicious brunch and lunch menu.

The Tiger Who Came to Tea exhibition

Is your little one a fan of The Tiger Who Came to Tea? You won’t want to miss this new exhibition open now at Newarke Houses Museum. They’re celebrating one of Britain’s best loved picture books, where alongside displays of facsimiles of original artwork, notes and sketches, the exhibition will give children the chance to enjoy stepping into Sophie’s kitchen to have tea with a life-size ‘tiger.’ Free entry, open Monday – Saturday. Give them their first VR experience

Take the kids to a world far from Leicester with a totally immersive VR experience at ROAMDOME. The Temple of the Diamond Skull is suitable for those aged 12+ and youngsters will love getting into their VR kit before entering the ancient world where you need to work together to overcome the obstacles, hidden doors and puzzles. ReRoll Board Game Cafe

Drop into ReRoll Board Game Cafe on Granby Street where you can choose from hundreds of different games to play, enjoy freshly made bagels and tasty shakes. It’s a brilliant afternoon out with the kids. The team in the cafe will also be happy to talk you through any new games you haven’t played before so no visit is the same. Bowling at East Street Lanes

East Street Lanes will be open from 11am every day throughout the half term break. Family packages are available throughout the week with an adult and child bowling from just £15. Mog The Forgetful Cat at Curve

Enjoy a trip to the theatre this half term. Mog is a very forgetful cat. Family comedy at Leicester Comedy Festival

Treat yourself and the kids to some laughs with a great selection of family friendly comedy throughout half term. Our pick is This Is Your Trial! With comedians in roles of Judge, Prosecution and Defence, kids accuse parents and parents accuse kids, of ‘crimes’. The audience is jury deciding guilt or innocence. Role Play at Petite Street Play Village
