Talk of the new Everards Brewery has been rumbling on for what seems like years, but now it’s finally here and the doors open on Thursday 3 June.

Not just the brewery of course, the real seller here is the incredible Beer Hall space that’s opening as a new star on the city’s food & drink map. The interior has been designed to an impeccable standard, from the standout brass beer tanks to the barrel shaped seated. Work or play, it’s a stunning destination. Tables have wireless phone and tablet charging plus under table plug sockets for laptops, and who’s going to say no to a meeting at a brewery?

One extra feature that’s been kept quiet is the amazing garden area. With seating for an extra 100 guests the decked outdoor space is fabulous. It even has a retractable roof!

Ok, so what about the food? Head chef, Emily Kemp, has had a key role in putting together the menu and they’ll be serving brunch daily from 10am – 12pm, before turning to their main menu. There’s no skimping on the quality and there are local touches throughout, with the menu proudly stating they’ve partnered with local bakers, butchers, coffee roasters and manufacturers to ensure as much local purchasing as possible.

Of course we’re in a brewery, so if you’re looking for the perfect beer to complement to your choice of meal all you need to do is ask the team who’ll be able to advise on the best pairing.

Whether you go for the giant homemade nachos topped with Sunchaser battered jalapanos and Rutland Red cheese sauce, or a Black & Blue burger topped with Long Clawson Stilton and crack blacked pepper, there’s plenty to choose from. For meat lovers there’s even a 20oz Chateaubriand to share and for veggies and vegans there’s been a lot of detail put into offering a great range of dishes throughout the menu.

As you sit in the Beer Hall you can see the workings of the brewery behind the glass screens and there will be brewery tours launching during the summer.

Oh, and of course it’s dog friendly too!

An absolute triumph from Everards. Go and book a table and see it for yourself!

Doors open at 10am on Thursday 3 June. Bookings can be made via www.everardsmeadows.co.uk.
