Twelve months on, Leicester’s biggest ‘Sausage & Cider Festival’ is set to return to independent favourite, The Rutland & Derby, on Millstone Lane. Get the dates in your diary as the event is back from Friday 28 – Monday 31 July 2023, and this year it is bigger and better.

The free to visit festival will see a huge selection of craft & traditional ciders available at the city centre pub over a four-day period. The selection includes Celtic Marches; Slack Alice & Thundering Alice, Broadoak’s Moonshine & Purple Haze, Gwynt Y Ddraig’s Black Dragon & Pyder, Lilley’s Raspberry Mojito & Rhubarb, Sea Cider’s Lemon Meringue Pie & Blood Orange, Scrumpy Wasps Hibernate, Snails Banks’ Very Perry & Pineapple & Pink Grapefruit, Thatcher’s Stans and many more!

Also, in addition to the pub’s usual food offering from the award winning ‘The Street Food Collective’ guests will be able to enjoy a huge selection of sausages both meat & plant-based showcasing local, national & international butchers. These will be accompanied by breads from local favourites, Hambleton Bakery, as well as a variety of pickles & mustards.

New for 2023

You wont want to miss this jaw droppingly large new addition for 2023 – 3 foot dogs and franks! Choose from Chilli Bratwurst, Pork & Emmental Bratwurst. German Frankfurter and German Bratwurst. All 3 foot long of it, in a 3 foot baguette. Are you up to the challenge?

There will also be live music throughout the weekend with daily performances from local artists, which will be advertised on the pubs website & socials shortly.
