It’s been 18 months in the making but the opening of The Queen Victoria Arts Club is almost here. The city’s newest venue looks to be as fancy as promised and opens in the heart of the Cultural Quarter at the beginning of October.

I doubt it’s possible to be further from the building’s past life (yes, yes, it used to be G Spot… if you don’t know, don’t ask), but the new club’s owners have done a brilliant job of fully transforming this Grade 2 listed Victorian Baroque property into the stunning venue it deserves to be.

This will be at the top end of the city’s dining scene with food of the very highest standard promised and an exquisite cocktail menu to match. There’ll be an 80 cover restaurant on the ground floor, while private dining rooms and spaces can accommodate another 50. Images in the gallery below display the layout and visual impressions of the building

Following the opening there are plans to launch membership and have a members only restaurant, and details of this will be announced in due course.
