Alien Encounter at National Space Centre

The screening of Aliens in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium is just a small part of this takeover event for Halloween. Prepare for an evening of frights, fights and Alien sights!  The Centre opens its doors for a squad of Colonial Marines to take charge, in a mission that will change your world forever. Entry includes full access to the National Space Centre including 3D simulator ride, entry into the Aliens Exhibition of original props and costumes from the movie and a chance to meet Colonial Marine Armour maker Terry English and see his stunning exhibition. Also included are the Firing range and Marine Corps training, the Ultimate Alien Quiz (with prizes), a screening of the documentary “The Beast Within: The Making of Alien”and a Q&A with Aliens actor Trevor Steedman, internationally renowned Aliens expert and private collector Harry Harris and amazing armourer Terry English.

This is an over 18s event that runs from 7pm to Midnight on Saturday 31 October. Grab your tickets from the National Space Centre website.

Experience the guts and gore of Halloween with Meatcure‘s special burger, which is running until Friday 6 November. You can expect Meatcure’s best beef patty, melted cheese, locally sourced black pudding, blackberry and raspberry sauce and pumpkin crisps, all served up in their fresh brioche. This will cost you £10.75 and turning up in fancy dress will score you 20% off your food bill!

 

Oxjam

Oxjam Leicester is back on Saturday 31 October with live music across 10 stages in the city centre. 200 acts, 10 stages, 1 day, 1 wristband, £10. Not a bad deal really. All over the Cultural Quarter you’ll be able to enjoy the best of Leicester’s music scene with local bands rocking stages at The Soundhouse, The Shed, Manhattan 34, Midas, Ale Wagon, outside on Orton Square and many more. Ghost Hunting at Belgrave Hall

Belgrave Hall is known as one of Leicester’s most haunted buildings, so why not spend Halloween fighting your fears for an entire night’s investigation. Will you hear footsteps or smell cooking for the unused kitchen? The event will run from 8pm to 2am giving you 6 solid hours to get to grips with the ghosts and gouls. Halloween at Tropical Birdland

Here’s one for the kids, as Halloween takes over Tropical Birdland in Desford. On Saturday night you can enjoy a haunted ghost walk around the exploring path, a professional fireworks display, live music, fire performer, food & licensed bar, plus the children’s play area will stay open into the evening. The event runs from 7pm to 11pm, with tickets at £9.95 for adults and £6.50 for children on the night, but cheaper advance tickets can be found on their website. Under 4s go free.
