Norfolk Hideaways, the premier holiday lettings company on the North Norfolk coast, has 142 properties, from 2 bedroom cottages and cabins to big houses for big groups sleeping up to 14, where dogs aren’t just welcome but encouraged.

Beaches to run along, fields to romp in and enclosed gardens to keep Fido safe are all winning formulas when choosing a holiday where the family dog will be as welcome as you are. Tiled floors (some with underfloor heating) are also a sought after feature in these pet friendsly properties.

But perhaps the ‘ultimate’ dog-friendly holiday home is ‘The Dairy’ at Great Massingham, where dogs can luxuriate in 9 acres of farmland, exercise in an enclosed paddock and the dog-loving owner runs agility courses at the farm weekly. Doggy friends on tap.

The Dairy, Great Massingham

the dairy norfolk

Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (plus 2 in adjoining Cart Lodge)

Is this the ultimate dog-friendly holiday home? We think so. Not only is the property surrounded by 9 acres of grounds, there’s an enclosed paddock for exercising dogs and the owner runs agility courses at the farm every week. The Dairy is a stunning conversion of a traditional Norfolk barn dating back to the 1850’s is it. Positioned right on Peddar’s Way the famous Roman Road that goes right down to the coast, the barn is a perfect place to get away from it all. The conversion is of the highest quality and furnished to a very high standard.  Walk into Great Massingham (approx three quarters of a mile) and you will find one of Norfolk’s prettiest villages with two large central ponds and the Dabbling Duck pub.  Walking from the barn is peaceful and traffic free.  The whole farm is set in its own grounds of 9 acres complete with resident Alpacas! The accommodation is extremely flexible in that although the barn sleeps 4 plus 2 on a sofa bed, guests will have the option to book the adjoining suite for an extra cost or The Cart Lodge which is across the courtyard and sleeps 4, making it perfect for groups of couples, multiple families or multi generational holidays.
