Take a step back in time through Leicester history at The Grand Ball at Winstanley House.
The Grand Ball is presented by Buzzing Roots, as the celebration of their Finding Braunstone project. After collaborating with Braunstone residents and the Braunstone History Group, they delved deep into the history of Winstanley House and beyond.
Now you can see it come to life at the glamorous Grand Ball on Friday 10 November. Guests will be welcomed to the beautiful grounds of Winstanley Hall, where they’ll be welcomed by James Beaumont Winstanley, played by Historian, Jim Butler. They’ll be invited in for an evening filled with captivating characters from history, such as Leicester’s famous detective Tanky Smith, seated alongside them at their tables. As the guests settle in, the plot unfolds and you’ll be drawn into age-old secrets, revealing the mysteries of the Winstanleys.
Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course gourmet meal and the lively jazz band Tuxedo Swing will be on hand to keep the party going into the night.
This event will help raise funds for the next Finding Braunstone Festival and many other events at Braunstone Park.
This unique event will offer guests the opportunity to explore local history in the most fascinating way, as they’re drawn into the mystery unfolding in front of their eyes in the grounds it happened on during history. All whilst enjoy a wonderful meal and live music.
