Rumble Live, the award-winning live action gaming arena, is set to open its second site at Rutland Water. Set in beautiful woodlands, Rumble Live offers outdoor laser tag with state of the art equipment.

The new site will open on 1 April 2023, with the family attraction set in a stunning woodland overlooking Rutland Water just a few minutes’ walk from Sykes Lane Car Park.

The family-run attraction first opened in July 2019 at Grafham Water, Cambridgeshire and has since won multiple awards including the recent Laser Tag Experience of the Year 2022/23 award (Prestige Award) and Best Adrenaline Activity in Cambridgeshire (Eastlife 2022).

Co-founder and mum-of-three, Jacquie Rumble, brought the concept to life as a means of peeling her then-teenage sons away from their video games consoles and out into the fresh air. She now runs the attraction with son Joe, who’s 20.

Since opening, the Grafham Water site has been a hit with families, attracting around 20,000 visitors a year, with sessions regularly selling out, particularly in school holidays. It is also popular for birthday parties, sports teams and corporate team building events.

“I think the success we’ve seen so far is down to our unique concept of merging the key elements of video games and action movies with nature and exercise,” says Jacquie Rumble, “it’s incredibly heartwarming seeing families, like ours, bond over the things that are usually incompatible — video games and exercise! We can’t wait to bring the Rumble experience to our home county and to such an ideal new location.”

Rumble uses guns which can transform into over 100 different types of weapon with different levels of range, damage and rates of fire. In ‘sniper rifle mode’ targets can be picked off with pin-point accuracy at over 250 metres using its holographic red-dot scope.

Rumble Rutland will be open at weekends (10am-5pm) with additional sessions added during school holidays, bank holidays and busy periods to meet demand.

Initially, Rutland will have one arena, with a second adjacent one planned for opening later this year.

A one-hour session at either Rumble site costs £18 per player and is suitable for adults and children aged eight and above. Bookings can be made through the website, rumblelive.co.uk and the friendly team are on-hand to answer any queries by phone 01480 592135 or email at [email protected].
