We’re so lucky to have the National Space Centre here in Leicester.

The centre is home to an amazing collection of world class artefacts, as well as the UKs largest planetarium, but with doors closed at all attractions throughout the UK the team have decided to take their mission online and on Friday 24 April at 6pm they will be launching one of their award winning shows for families to enjoy.

We Are Stars answers the all important questions we all have; What are we made of? Where did it all come from?

The show allows families, adults and children the opportunity to explore the secrets of our cosmic chemistry, and our explosive origins.

Developed by NSC Creative, a team of animators based at the National Space Centre, We Are Stars is currently playing in planetaria around the world. However, this is the first time the show has been able to be seen outside the fulldome and enjoyed, in full, in the home.

We Are Stars is narrated by Andy Serkis. Andy Serkis has played some of the most memorable characters of the last decade in a raft of Hollywood blockbusters and in We Are Stars provides the voice of the Time Master. A Victorian gent with his very own time tent that will whisk audiences back in time 13.8 billion years.

The screening is free to enjoy and will be launched on the National Space Centre’s Facebook and YouTube channels at 6pm on Friday 24 April. In the week leading up to #FamilyMovieNight the team will also be sharing popcorn recipes, craft resources and even a watch along quiz to win prizes.
