Fans of street food will be pleased to know that there’s a new monthly event heading to Leicestershire as MELT launches in Melton Mowbray this weekend on Friday 3 May.

Supported by Melton Mowbray Town and Estate and local food and drink producers, MELT Street Kitchen will be hosting five summer hangouts on the first Friday of every month.
Of course, the big news is always which traders will be appearing. Well throughout the summer you’ll be able to enjoy cheese galore from Toastie the Difference, serving various grilled cheese options and halloumi fries, tasty kebabs from Gyro Guys, innovative Indian options from Ruby’s Street Kitchen and Phata Phat, local Farmer Lou’s Hog and Lamb roast, Vausages vegan sausages, the finest smoked options from Feast and the Furious, Martin Bros Pizza, Bare Bones cinnamon dusted churros and coffee, awesome poutine from The Gravy Train, vegan Huns with their tasty chick-hun burgers, loaded Disco Fries, and lots more still to be announced.
For the drinks they’ll also be teaming up with some of the best local alcohol connoisseurs. You can look forward to a Brentingbys premium craft Gin bar, Melton Market’s own Round Corner Brewery Beers and ‘Jean Jean’ the little yellow wine truck serving bubbly Elderflower Press and Elderflower wine from Melton Mowbray based Witham Wines.
MELT takes places at Market Place, Melton Mowbray on the first Friday of the month starting from Friday 3 May. They’ll be open from 12pm – 10pm with music, great food, entertainment, plenty of drinks and fun!
