Leicester Comedy Festival gets underway this week, running from 7 – 25 February and taking place in over 65 venues.

Whilst a huge amount of the festival is centred around fantastic venues in Leicester City Centre, there is also so much taking place in the county this year. So where else can you enjoy a dose of comedy and entertainment throughout February?

Anstey

The Mash & Press
Combine a lovely micro pub visit with some top comedy. Jokes on Us are bringing some cracking performers to Anstey. Don’t miss their mixed bill line-ups on 7, 14 and 21 February. TICKETS

Aylestone

The Black Horse
It’s not Leicester Comedy Festival without a trip to The Black Horse. The busiest venue outside the city centre, they have a packed line-up of shows this February. Take your pick from plenty of headline solo shows, or take a punt on one of their Laughter Loft shows… you never know who you might see! A fab venue for comedy (with a tasty food menu to throw into it too). TICKETS

Newmarket
A night of Laughter with Funhouse Comedy on Saturday 24 February. TICKETS

The Birch Tree
Presented in partnership with Everards, Roar with Laughter is coming to The Birch Tree this February. Shows take place in their marquee with private bar, with mixed bills of great comedies. Shows will take place on 7, 10, 14, 17, 21 and 24 February. (10% off food at the pub with every ticket). TICKETS

Croft

The Heathcote Arms
Everards bring you a roaring line-up of comedians at The Heathcote Arms throughout February. Enjoy three performers and a compere on 8, 15, 19, and 22 February. TICKETS

Foxton

Foxton Village Hall
Don’t sleep on this brilliant line-up coming to Foxton Village Hall on 16 February, including Ediburgh Fringe Best Newcomer nominee, Lindsey Santoro. TICKETS

Hinckley

Bond Street Distillery
Enjoy a Valentine’s Day filled with laughs at Hinckley’s Bond Street Distillery. A full night of comedy with four top comedians on 14 February. TICKETS

Kibworth

Kibworth Comedy Club
Held at Kibworth Grammar School, there’s a mixed line-up of three comedians performing on Thursday 15 February. TICKETS

Knighton

The Cradock Arms
If you follow us on social media you’ll know that The Cradock is one of our favourite spots, so it’s great news that they’re on the Comedy Festival circuit. There’ll be two Pick of the Fringe nights with brilliant line-ups, taking place on Sunday 11 and Sunday 25 February. TICKETS

Lutterworth

Wycliffe Rooms
A brilliant line-up including Lloyd Griffith (Soccer AM host and guest star on Ted Lasso) and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist, Marcus Birdman, comes to Lutterworth on 17 February. TICKETS

Market Harborough

Harborough Market Hall
There’s a weekend takeover at Harborough Market Hall, including fun for the family with Comedy Club 4 Kids on Sunday 18 February, or make an evening of it and enjoy a night out on both 17 and 18 February with line-ups including the likes of Scott Bennett, Jonny Awsum and more. TICKETS

Aldwinckles Coffee House
Aldwinckles Coffee House is hosting a comedy wine tasting alongside Duncan Murray Wines on Sunday 18 February. This event is currently sold out, you can check with the venue directly for any returns or other availability.

Harborough Culture Cafe Comedy Club
Held at Louisa’s Place, this is another stop to consider for your Valentine’s Day plans as they host a mixed line-up of top talent on Wednesday 14 February. TICKETS

Mountsorrel Memorial Centre
This new arts centre in the heart of the Charnwood Forest will be hosting two brilliant shows. Don’t miss Hal Cruttenden (16 February) and The Mighty Kids Beatbox Comedy Show Strikes Back (17 February). TICKETS

Oadby

Oadby Comedy Club
Oadby’s Royal British Legion is another new venue on the Festival circuit this year and they’re hosting a Jokes on Us show on Sunday 18 February. Leicester’s own Alex Hylton will introduce three top comedians, including firm favourite Scott Bennett. TICKETS

Rutland

The White Lion, Whissendine
Roar with Laughter with Everards at The White Lion in Whissendine. They’ll have three great performers with them on 8 February. TICKETS.

South Wigston

Menphys Hub
With a daytime comedy workshop and evening Festival show, there’s a day of fun at Menphys Hub on 22 February. During the day, Jarred Christmas will be hosting a workshop designed for children & young people with disabilities, aged 13-25. The workshop will develop young people’s comedy skills and give them an experience of performing live to their families and carers. Then in the evening, join the brilliant Scott Bennett and friends for a full evening show in the Hub venue. TICKETS
