Are you looking for a different Mother’s Day gift experience this year? Burleighs Gin will be hosting a special Mother’s Day Gin Academy on Sunday 27 March.
Take your mum along and you’ll both get to distil your very own bottle of craft gin as well as enjoying an afternoon tea, cocktails and fizz for two.
Whether you prefer floral, citrus, herbal or spicy notes, you will learn how to create your own bespoke and unique gin using botanicals of your choice. Weighing your botanicals is a crucial part of the distilling process and determines the end result, you will be guided on quantities to ensure you can fully appreciate the delicate flavours of your gin.
You will distil your gin in one of Burleighs pot stills, made from copper for a smoother flavour, then once your creation has been distilled, you’ll get the opportunity to check out the strength of your gin, gaining approval from the head distiller. You will then bottle and seal your 70cl bottle before adding a personalised label ready to take home!
Settle down for a special afternoon tea and fizz in the comfort of the Burleighs Distillery at Bawdon Lodge Farm and make it a Mother’s Day to remember.
The event starts at 2pm on Sunday 27 March and tickets are priced at £185 for 2 people. Spaces are limited and you can book via the Burleighs Gin website.
