Your team from Leicester’s leading street food event, Canteen, has teamed up with Bulldog Gin and masters of bao, Wallace & Sons, to bring you a special new brunch event on Saturday 15 June. Read on because we’ve got 2 tickets to give away!
Yes, how does a filling your Saturday afternoon with bao and bottomless gin fizz sound? The event will take place at the new 2Funky Street Kitchen and kicks off at midday running right through until 8pm. If you choose to grab one of the bottomless wristbands it means that between 2pm and 4pm you’ll be able to enjoy 2 hours of as many Bulldog Gin fizz cocktails as you like.
All ticket holders also get treated to some awesome bao from Wallace & Sons, who are without doubt one of the UK’s leading bao teams. They’ll be heading down from Manchester for the event.
Included in your ticket price is a filled bao and side dish (you will need to pick the choice of Bao for each ticket at checkout):
Pork Bao – Sous Vide Pork Shoulder, Pickled Cucumber, Crispy Skin, Hoi Sin & Sriracha
Salt Cod Bao – Panko Salt Cod, Gochujang Mayo, Pickled Fennel
Cauliflower Bao (Vegan) – Soy Braised and Beer Battered Cauliflower, Pickled Cauliflower, Seasame Tofu Dressing, Hot Sauce
All Served in Handmade Bao with Togarashi Sweet Potato Fries
Gin cocktails & fizzes will be available from the Bulldog Gin bar throughout the event, and there’ll also be a full bar with a wide selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks also be available.
The event is being held at a newly refurbished venue near Braunstone Gate, with outside covered area together with a vast inside space with plenty of seating, tables and dancing areas.
It starts from 12pm, bottomless bar 2pm – 4pm, food until 8pm and DJs playing a selection of funk and soulful house throughout.
