Of course you’ll have all heard about Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme by now. All month you can enjoy 50% off food and soft drinks at a whole range of restaurants and cafes in a bid to get people back out, enjoying quality venues and helping business to recover.

In this week’s BID Spotlight we’re looking at where you can head to in the city centre to grab some tasty bargain offers. The offers are proving popular though, so if there’s somewere that you want to visit then be sure to book a table as soon as possible or you might be disappointed.

The team at BID Leicester has also put together this super handy guide to venues that are taking part. Download it HERE.

KAI

The best pancakes in Leicester? We think they might be! Kai in St Martin’s Square is now back open from Wednesday – Sunday 9am – 3pm. Of course that only gives you one day to make the most of the 50% discount so get a Wednesday date in your diary. It’s first come first served so don’t worry about having to book. View the menu via their website.

1573 Bar & Grill

The popular steakhouse and grill at Highcross will re-open on Friday 7 August. They’re open 7 days a week with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme running Monday – Wednesday. As well as the main discount you’ll also be able to enjoy 2 for.1 cocktails from 12pm – 7pm every day of the week. Book a table via their website.

Queen of Bradgate

Queen of Bradgate is throwing the doors open at 4pm on Friday 7 August and rather excitingly they’ve also revamped their upstairs bar area into a new lounge style to allow for extra relaxing and drinking space. Food will be served until 9pm (tip – their nachos are some of the best in Leicester) and they’re open until 11pm in the week and midnight on Friday and Saturday. Book a table via the website.

This was the talk of the town earlier on in the year as the Thai restaurant arrived in St Martin’s Square. If you didn’t manage to visit before the lockdown then now is the time to do it. They’ve got an extended outdoor seating area on St Martin’s Square, which is lovely, and perfect for a summer’s lunchtime or early evening. Tables during those Monday – Wednesday slots are booking up fast be sure to book your table soon. Bookings can be made via the website.

Turtle Bay

They’re back with their full menu, daily 2 for 1 cocktails, bottomless brunch (it includes the cocktails) and the 50% offer running Monday – Wednesday. Another little tip for you… bottomless brunch is available 7 days/week and if you go on a Monday – Wednesday you get 50% off the brunch dish too! Book via the website.
