A festive treat for the whole family, Wonka is the must see festive movie this Christmas.

And… you can support independent whilst you’re doing it, with screenings at Phoenix from Friday 15 December.

Showing throughout December, Wonka is brought to you from the team behind Paddington and is sure to delight audiences young and old. It will be showing at Phoenix right through December and on Thursday 21 December (11.30am) you can also enjoy their Cinema Bambino screening. This screening is exclusively for parents and carers with babies under 12 months old. Customers must be accompanied by a child under 12 months to be permitted entry.

In the movie activity this Christmas, visitors can look forward to a family programme including Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (from Fri 8 Dec), The Boy and The Heron SUBBED + DUBBED (from Tue 26 Dec) and The Royal Ballet:The Nutcracker (Tue 12 Dec, 7.15pm/ Sun 17 Dec, 12pm). What’s more, family tickets are priced at just £5 per person, all day every day.

Phoenix will also once again be running their annual donation screening of It’s a Wonderful Life in aid of Alice Hawkins Community Projects who run a local foodbank. Customers are asked to bring along items from a “shopping list” and in return get a ticket to watch the film. This year it’s happening on Fri 15 Dec, 7.45pm. As well as the movies, be sure to make time for a visit to the Phoenix Cafe Bar with their super tasty festive menu, including a traditional Christmas dinner, sandwiches and lots of tasty veggie and vegan options. Plus you can indulge in their festive drinks menu, including their luxury hot chocolate (complete with whipped cream, marshmallows, brownie pieces and chocolate sauce), gingerbread latte, home brewed mulled wine and more.
