There has never been so much to do in Leicester city centre. The activity scene in town is better than ever and Lane7 are one of the venues at the very heart of it.
Since opening in 2020 the venue has continued to evolve their offering and they’ve recently undergone an interior refurb to bring in karaoke rooms, shooting pods, an improved arcade room and much more.
We caught up with them for this week’s BID Spotlight to find out more.
Tell us about some of the changes people can expect to see at Lane7?
We’ve just levelled up the ultimate Lane7 experience for Leicester! We’ve installed three new karaoke rooms, four darts pods, three shooting pods, upgraded our arcade room and added on an additional outdoor space with a huge external screen – perfect for summer!
What is your favourite thing about Lane7 Leicester?
The location! It’s an amazing building, with so much history to it – and Lane7 can continue making history there. The space is fantastic, especially the mezzanine, the glass ceiling and our two outdoor areas. Because of the size of the building, there’s a real scope to offer different experiences at the same time. For example, one of our outside spaces might be booked for a private event, but you can still bring the kids (or your date!) in for gaming. There are no limits to this space, which is perfect for us!
What are your most popular activities?
Our foundation is to bring a premium edge to the bowling experience. Whilst we anchor on bowling, Lane7 offers many different gaming options, a fantastic bar and food offer giving you all your best nights in one.
What is it about the Lane7 brand that’s seen it grow so much, do you think?
We did a lot of firsts that we don’t own, so we’ve seen a lot of flattery and copycat in that design, which means we always look at how we can change that experience again. Every new site opening has enabled us to push the boundaries further than what even I thought possible. Every time, the customer demand has told us to keep pushing to introduce new experiences and concepts
Tell us about your food offer available at the moment?
We have an amazing collab with Pizza Punks, who serve up INCREDIBLE sourdough pizzas that really provide you with a proper pizza experience.
We’ve also got a Fry Bar, where you can order a selection of different fries. They’re perfect if you want a snack to provide you with competitive sustenance.
What are some of your most stand out cocktails?
We’ve just launched our summer drinks menu, so this is perfect timing! Our brand-new Steins have been hugely popular, as has the Peach Lady. Our cocktail menu has been designed to incorporate something for everyone, so we hope they all stand out.
If it was our first time visiting Lane7 how should we plan our visit?
Good question! My personal recommendation would be to do a huge walk round of the venue, because there’s so many hidden gems. Grab yourself a drink, have a nosey in every nook and cranny and scope out the activities you want to do. Bowling is always a good start because it gives you the ultimate intro to what Lane7 is all about. The arcades are perfect for a blast of nostalgia and mini-golf provides an opportunity to test your competitive streak. Order a pizza from Pizza Punks while you plan your next activity, but definitely end the night in one of our karaoke rooms. Capture the memory in our photobooth and just soak up the Lane7 experience, because it’s really unique and you’ll be planning your next visit as soon as you leave.
