Foodie fans, boy have we got some exciting news for you! If you thought it had gone a little quiet on the Canteen front, well they’ve been busy beavering away to bring you an amazing run of pop-up events and brunches, starting with the 5 Course Hot Dog Tasting Pop-up with Fat Snags (“best hot dog I’ve ever eaten” – quote, me) taking place at 1901 Turkey Cafe on Saturday 5 January.

Yes, Canteen as we know is taking a wee break before it returns in March with a brand new season of amazing traders, a huge 2 year birthday party and some amazing news! However, don’t worry as here’s the exclusive news of a series of pop-ups and brunches taking place at various venues across Leicester from now until Canteen returns in March.

Bubbles & Bao brunch coming soon
As part of the pop-ups and bottomless brunch events you can expect incredible foodie delights such as Bubbles & Bao, a Valentine’s Tequila & Tacos event, a Cubanos and Mojito party and even a Doggy Brunch, yep a brunch that welcomes your pet dogs too. Your favourite Canteen traders will be back like you’ve never seen them before to takeover some great spaces across Leicester! Burger Brunch, Waffles & Wine, Poutine Party… you won’t want to miss these! There will be plenty of options for vegans & vegetarians also as well as some super exciting chef pop-ups and collabs. But as we said, first up is the 5 Course Hot Dog Tasting Pop-up on Saturday 5 January. Only 40 tickets will be available for this pop up so get in early. Early bird tickets are priced at £20 and standard at £25, but early bird tickets are strictly limited so get in quick! Ticket prices include a welcome drink, 4 courses of Sausage Heaven and dessert. Quite a bargain for £20.
 
Expect handcrafted A.W. Lashford sausages (master purveyors of sausages since 1889), made exclusively for Fat Snags from the finest pork and smoked bacon with a blend of 7 spices and cooked in ale, then grilled to perfection.

Unfortunately on this occasion they are unable to cater for any allergies or vegetarian/vegans however there will be plenty of other veg-friendly pop ups coming up!
