It’s a little over 6 years since Cocoa Amore arrived in Leicester producing some of the finest handmade chocolates in the Midlands. Now offering a range of workshops and experiences, as well as a tasty range of artisan chocolates to buy over the counter and online, it’s an exciting time for the Leicestershire business.
If you’ve walked down Silver Street you’ll no doubt have passed by Cocoa Amore’s store in the heart of the city. With their exquisite range of handmade chocolates available from the counter, as well as a range of luxury hot chocolates to drink in or take away, it’s a must visit for both youngsters and adults. What makes Cocoa Amore so special is their use of the finest ingredients, with every chocolate made by hand to ensure the highest quality across a range of flavours. Whether buying a box as a gift or simply popping in for a treat after shopping, the shop leaves you spoilt for choice.
With Christmas looming and thoughts turning to Christmas presents, we caught up with owner Pete Gardner about their range of Chocolate Workshops available and their special Golden Ticket. “The Golden Ticket is a voucher for 2 people to enjoy an immersive chocolate workshop experience here at Cocoa Amore. The workshops last around 2.5 hours and you’ll learn about chocolate from around the world (guided by tasting, of course) before donning aprons and gloves to create your own handmade box of truffles. Whilst the chocolate sets it’s downstairs for more chocolate tasting before returning to decorate and gift wrap the boxes.”
The experiences take place from Thursday – Saturday with sessions at 11am and 2pm and you can purchase a Golden Ticket in store or online for £90 (valid for 2 people). Looking for a group experience or fun work activity? You can also book a private truffle making workshop for groups of 6 – 30 people.
If it’s something that you think the kids would enjoy then Cocoa Amore are also offering special all ages Christmas Workshops from 18 – 22 December. Priced at £20 you can bring the little ones along to make their own Christmas themed chocolate bars and enjoy a Winter Spiced hot chocolate. Each participant will go away with 3 x 100g bars of their handmade chocolate bars, which can even be given as presents for Christmas (if they last that long!)
With Christmas Hampers available across a range of price points, with some even including that special Golden Ticket, as well as truffle selections, chocolate Brussel Sprouts, cocoa pods and even chocolate stilettos, there’s a gift available for everyone.
