When it comes to happy hours Turtle Bay is one of the first places in Leicester that springs to mind. Their 2 for 1 offer has been a huge hit since they first opened, but now with the new curfew coming in they’re switching things up a little.
In our BID Spotlight feature this week we’re catching up on all of the cocktail, breakfast and foodie news from the Caribbean themed restaurant.
First of all, let’s talk cocktails. The famous 2 for 1 happy hour will now run ALL day EVERY day. Yes, you can enjoy a boozy afternoon or early evening every day of the week as Turtle Bay offers 2 for 1 cocktails from opening right the way through until 8pm. Make your way through your favourites from the whole rainbow of cocktails including One Love, Reggae Rum Punch, Tingaling and Marley Mojito, to name just a few.
If you’re in town early on then make sure you also check out their breakfast menu, which is now available from 8.30am every day. Yes, they’re opening at 8.30am! Plus those breakfast dishes are also on a 2 for 1 deal every day until 11am too.
A whole array of brunch classics have been given the Turtle Bay Caribbean treatment including the nation’s favourite, Avocado Smash, which is served alongside grilled roti, roasted tomato, chilli & chives topped with either poached eggs, mushroom, jerk sausage or jerk bacon. Liven up dreary days with the rich & spicy Curry Goat Hash – spicy goat curry, served with fried potato, pink onion & two sunny side up fried eggs.
Or for those craving a simple breakfast roll, enjoy Turtle Bay’s unique spin with their Roti Rolls, which are a dreamy Caribbean take on this classic breakfast choice – made from hand stretched dough and an array of fillings like jerk sausage, jerk bacon, and crispy soft-yolk fried eggs.
There are plenty of options for veggies and vegans too, including the Big Vegan Grill Down (Turtle Bay’s take on a full veggie breakfast), or the Vegan Yardbird, a fresh roti stacked with chicken-style vegan patty, smashed avocado, rich maple syrup, hot sauce & watermelon.

If you want to combine everything we’ve just spoken about then of course Turtle Bay’s Bottomless Brunch is probably for you! This is also available every day from 10am – 3pm. Priced at £27 per person, enjoy a breakfast dish with unlimited cocktails, mocktails, prosecco, craft lager, Red Stripe or mocktails. Treat yourself to two hours of laidback, island-style afternoon vibes.
A spokesperson at Turtle Bay, Leicester, commented, “Bottomless brunch has been incredibly popular over recent weeks. We’ve now introduced 2 for 1 on our breakfast menu every day and coupled with earlier opening times and all day happy hour offers we’re hoping that people will be able to enjoy a day out and beat the curfew blues.”
Operationally the restaurant has undergone a few changes to make it fully Covid safe including more space between tables, at table ordering via the app, PPE, extra sanitising points and more.
