The annual Edible Forest Festival returns to the ancient woodland of Charnwood Forest in September and they’ve got even more tasty events than ever before. One of those amazing events will be their unique dining pods, which are returning for both afternoon picnics and dining under the stars, and we’ve got 2 picnic places to give away!
Yes, between Saturday 7th – Sunday 15th September, you can look forward to a smorgasbord of tasty food and drink events here in Leicestershire, including afternoon tea in the iconic Old John Tower, Bradgate Park, dining under the stars in a unique dining pod, Safari Supper around Charnwood’s finest pubs, scone tasting on the lawn, and another outstanding Secret Gourmet evening with Michelin star holder, Chef John Duffin.
Some of the events are already sold out (you snooze you lose) but there are still plenty of tickets you can get hold of, including Safari Supper, cheese pairing experience, Tea in the Tower and the dining pods.
The unique dining pods are making a welcome return to the festival for a second year. Set in ancient woodland at Abbots Oak Manor near Coalville, diners can enjoy an intimate picnic of tasty local produce in one of the pods (3pm) or enjoy dinner whilst watching the evening stars (7pm). With dishes including Braised Bradgate Venison, Chilli & Chocolate & Spiced Red Cabbage and Vanilla Cheesecake & Strawberries Dipped in Chocolate, it’s sure to be an experience to remember!
