A summer of football is upon us as Euro 2024 kicks off on Friday 14 June. But where will you be watching it?
With England favourites to win the tournament, you won’t want to miss a kick, so we’ve pulled together our top places to catch the action in Leicester.
Let us know where you’ll be watching @coolasleicester.
The Real Ale Classroom
Enjoy craft beer, pizza and football at The Real Ale Classroom in town. From Saturday 15 June onwards they’ll be screening every game in their downstairs venue. You can also take advantage of Dough What’s exclusive Euro pizza promo with their pizzas delivered straight to the pub whilst you’re watching. Get any 2 pizzas delivered for only £22 when ordered with the promo code EURO2422. Call 0116 298 5481 to order.
The Rutland & Derby
You won’t miss any of the action across 6 screens at The Rutland & Derby. They’ve got a brand new 75″ screen up in the garden and you’ll be able to catch every single game. If you’re down there for an England game you’ll be able to enjoy any burger, waffle fries & a pint of Budvar for just £15 (available on England match days only). Oh, and their Pizza Shed is back open in the courtyard too!
What A Shot
If you haven’t caught a match at What A Shot yet, you’re missing out. The hidden away spot in Thurmaston really is an elite sports bar, with every single angle in view of a TV. Grab a sofa spot in front of their giant screen, grab a booth or even hire their private and swanky Directors Lounge for a private gathering. They’re open for all games and will be serving their menu of Indian fusion cuisine throughout (don’t miss their seekh kebab bao bun). Book your table online at www.whatashotleicester.co.uk or for groups email [email protected].
The King’s Head
With 5 large screens inside and out, don’t miss a kick at The King’s Head on King Street. PLUS their rooftop terrace has just had a refurb and there’s a screen up there too. Don’t worry about the weather because the rooftop has a retractable roof to keep you dry or let in the sunshine. Plus they do great cobs and samosas to have with your beer too.
Duffy’s Bar
Duffy’s Bar will be screening every England and Scotland game with some deals to enjoy as well. For 2 hours before and during each England or Scotland game, grab discounted shots, 4 for £10 bottles, and their meal deal with a crusty cob or samosa, bag of Taytos and a pint for £6.50. Plenty of good Guinness and dog friendly too. Tables can also be reserved in advance by contacting the pub directly.
The Black Horse, Aylestone
One of our favourite pubs and they’ll be a go to place for this tournament as well. Book a spot in their upstairs VIP room for the England games and enjoy table service and half time nachos. Or you can soak up the atmosphere with the big screen downstairs. Book in for the first England game and get priority access for the rest. Call 01162837225 to book.
The Locker Room
The city centre sports bar has TalkSport’s Geoff Peters hosting each of the England group games, so you can enjoy expert analysis alongside the match. All of the England games are ticketed (via Fatsoma) but if you book one of their booths with a food package, you’ll get a beer tower for free. Book booth packages via the Locker Room website.
The Broadway Bar & Grill
Enjoy the football over a chicken tikka sizzler or biryani by catching the football at The Broadway – winners of Best Pub Restaurant at the 2023 Leicester Curry Awards. The Broadway on Abbey Lane has screens in the bar and restaurant and table should be booked in advance to guarantee a spot.
The Stamford Arms
Out of town over in Groby, The Stamford Arms is bringing back their football marquee. Enjoy all of the England games on their outdoor screen in their large garden tent complete with BBQ for every game.
Sixes Social Cricket
Combine the football with some fun with your family and friends, with all matches screened at Sixes Social Cricket. Whether you add in some cricketing fun or simply go down to catch the games with food and drinks, Sixes have packages to suit everybody. Don’t forget their karaoke rooms on site, so if England win you can head in there and enjoy a rendition of Sweet Caroline post-match. Tables with food & drinks packages are available to book online at www.sixescricket.com with walk-ins also available. Children are welcome in the venue to watch the matches up to 7pm.
Rileys
Big screens, private booths, TVs around the venue, plus pool, darts, snooker, and more. If you haven’t been to Rileys for a while, you might be surprised at the makeover it’s had. A great sports bar option close to town, they’re showing all games throughout the tournament with England and Scotland games ticketed to ensure comfortable numbers. Food menu served throughout. England and Scotland games are £5 entry payable on the door, but you can get their buy 2 games get 1 free offer by booking online and using the promo code RILEYS24.
The Harrow Inn
If you haven’t visited The Harrow in Thurmaston yet, then this is the perfect opportunity. Previously shying away from football screenings, they’re changing that for Euro 2024. We highly recommend heading down there to grab a bite to eat from their Doon Spice Indian menu, so why not combine the two? Their new garden space is also now open ready for the summer period. Bookings are recommended to ensure you get a table near a TV. Email [email protected] to book.
Lane7
With the biggest screen in Leicester you’re guaranteed a good atmosphere down at Lane7, as their main downstairs space becomes a big Euros fanzone. Guarantee your seat with Euro 2024 packages pried at £10, which include a seat in the fanzone with your first drink included. For the rest of the game get the 2 pint steins in! Children are allowed at Lane7 until 7pm. Book online via lane7.co.uk.

Catch all of the England games at The Queen of Bradgate and enjoy a foodie special whilst you’re there. Grab a table with them for a game and you can enjoy a burger and any Camden Town Brewery pint for just £12. Tables available to book or walk ins available. AND if you have a group then why not enquire about their private booking options, and you could watch the game in your private vintage cinema.
The Freemasons Arms, Market Harborough
If you’re watching over in Market Harborough this summer, The Freemasons is the place to go. They’ve got an extra screen in their outside area so you can soak up some sunshine (hopefully) whilst catching all the action. Plus don’t miss their excellent pizza menu when you’re there. On England match days you can score a Classic Burger or Steak Frites plus 2 pints of Peroni for only £20. Plus, whilst the game is on all pints of Peroni are only £5.

Get down the Narb to Nine Bar as they’ll be showing all games across the tournament and you can enjoy their delicious smash burgers whilst you’re there. Burgers are served Thursday – Sunday plus any time England are playing. Don’t miss their current special – The Guinness Burger.
Bar Dos Hermanos
If you’re near Queens Road then Bar Dos will be showing the full tournament but England games will be up on the big screen. They also have some special drinks deals with 3 pilsner for £10, 3 for £10 bottled beers and 3 pints of San Miguel for £15 during all games.
