It’s the end of a decade and if you want to see 2020 in in style there are plenty of local options for you to choose from.

Downtown Vegas at Mercure Grand Hotel
Dress to impress as the Mercure transforms into the Downtown Vegas for one night only. You’ll be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to get the evening started in style, and there’ll be world class magicians flying in from Las Vegas, fun Blackjack and Roulette tables and tasty canapés. Dance to the sweet sounds of soul, motown & disco through the evening, performed by none other than Leicester’s finest, Johnny & The Goodtime Boys, followed by disk jockeys until the early hours. NYE 19 at 100&Six
An evening in 2 parts as you can choose to enjoy a 6 course menu with added treats from 7pm, or join in later on from 10pm to see in the new year with a vinyl DJ set from The Promised Land. Tickets for the meal are priced at £40 with party tickets just £5. Tickets include Prosecco on arrival and are available from the bar.
Plug Silent Disco at Firebug
Plug returns to Firebug to see in the. new year once again. Enjoy 3 silent disco channels across different genres right through from 10pm – 4am. Deposit for the headphones is £10 and only £5 if returned at the end of the night.
Ambush at The Shed
Enjoy emo anthems and all the usual Ambush fun upstairs at The Shed, with tunes from Enter Shikari, Paramore, My Chemical Romance and more. Downstairs they’ll have an electro-swing speakeasy style bar vibe for more of a chill out. Early bird tickets £2, £5 on the door.
The Whisky Rebellion at Duffy’s
The Whiskey Rebellion invite you to join them and a hand-picked selection of Leicester’s finest bands for yet another night of drinking, dancing, and general reckless abandon. Featuring alternative ska rockers Not My Good Arm, and gyp-hop troubadours Homeless Shakespeare and The Pigeon Theatre. Prepare to come and survive the transition from 2019 to 2020 with a booze-soaked dance-off that would make your ancestors proud. TICKETS.
Rhythm & Booze at 33 Cank Street
Dress in your finest black tie as the party kicks off from 9pm. There’ll be jazz and blues from house band, The Verzions, and complimentary canapés through the evening, plus of course Prosecco at midnight. Tickets are £19.
Pizza and Prosecco at Revolution
Ok this is more of a daytime affair but what better way to kick off your celebrations than with 2 hours of bottomless booze? Choose a pizza, and enjoy unlimited drinks* for two hours. Timeslots available from midday to 6pm and drinks include Prosecco, Bubblegum Daiquiri, Blank Canvas, Bloody Mary, Woo Woo, Amstel, soft drinks. TICKETS.
Comedy Special at Just The Tonic
This year Just The Tonic’s new year comedy night will be held upstairs at BrewDo. 4 top comedians, built in beer breaks and loads of laughs. After the comedy there’ll be music and a party going through to 2020. Confirmed line-up includes Dave Longley and Darius Davies. TICKETS.
Big Fat Quiz of The Year at The Cow & Plough
Kick off the new year celebrations with a pub quiz based on 2019. After the results the party will carry on through to 2020. The night starts at 7.30pm with quiz from 8.30pm and party to follow. Tickets are £15.
Game Party at Bean Gaming
Eat, drink and play as you see in 2020. Prosecco, beers, buffet and of course PARTY GAMES will be the order of the night at Bean Gaming! Each attendee will be given a wallet of “tasks” from the game, ‘Don’t Get Got’, and a handful of tables will be setup with party games on the go for you to enjoy.
