With the green light given for New Years Eve celebrations, what events are happening in Leicester?

Here’s our pick of where to go.

The Exchange Bar

Get down to The Exchange Bar for music until late with free entry and a free glass of Prosecco at midnight. DJ sets for Murphy’s Law, City Fly Records and more.


Free entry upstairs and downstairs all night at Firebug. Enjoy Feedback vs. CRASH club night upstairs from 10pm – 4am. Free bubbly downstairs at midnight.

The Salmon

See in 2022 with a traditional pub atmosphere, a great selection of real ales, classic pub games and free pigs in blankets and mince pies (yes, free pigs in blankets and mince pies!). Free entry, open until 2am, last entry 1am.

Fat Cats

Fat Cats will be open until 4am on New Years Eve with the best RnB, Hip Hop and Old Skool Anthems. Early Bird tickets are sold out but there’s a free bottle of Belaire for all booth bookings. Tickets via Fatsoma.

33 Cank Street

Book your table to avoid disappointment at 33 Cank Street. Tickets are £15 and include a table all night, Prosecco toast and bar snacks at your table too. Music all night with soul, funk, jazz, hip hop and party tunes. Book on the 33 Cank Street website.


Kick off the night with a bottomless dinner. Yes, Revs is hosting a 3 course dinner from 7pm – 9pm accompanied by bottomless drinks, followed by their mega new year party complete with stilt walkers, fire and entertainment.

Clarendon Park

There’s a whole lot of choice for celebrating New Year’s Eve on Queens Road, here’s a selection:

Bar Dos Hermanos

DJ until late. Tickets are priced at £5 but if you arrive before 10pm you can redeem your that £5 against drinks at the bar.

The Verandah

The Verandah is open all day on New Year’s Eve, right through to 1am. Enjoy their excellent melts, wraps, cocktails, gins, beer and more. Free entry.

The Cradock

Always a popular New Years Eve spot, The Cradock will once again be throwing a big party to see out the year. Meal and party tickets are already sold out, but you can grab bar tickets for £7.50, which include a free drink before 8.30pm.

Queens Road Tap

Queens Road Tap isn’t open for the countdown, but they’ll be open until 10pm with excellent craft beers, ciders, gins and more. Why not pop in for an early drink before your chosen party venue?

The Pug & Greyhound

Party Great Gatsby style at The Pug & Greyhound in Great Glen. Dress to impress and get down early as entry is free on a first come first served basis.

Nine Bar

Always a brilliant way to see in the new year, Nine Bar are back with their all inclusive bar. Tickets are priced at £47.50 and then the bar is fully inclusive all night from 9pm through to 2am… sounds a good deal to us. Only a few tickets remaining so get in touch with the bar!


If you fancy a proper club vibe then grab tickets to Waikiki’s new year bash. They’re throwing a 90s party with the best 90s dance and house music, including Livin’ Joy performing live (“I’m a dreamer…” everyone sing along). Tickets are on sale from Fatsoma.
