Great news in the hotel development taking place at Leicester Tigers as it’s been announced the opening will be the second UK site for Hotel Brooklyn.
The design-led hotel currently has a bustling property in Manchester (part of Bespoke Hotels), and the new site, which sits right next door to Welford Road Stadium, will offer high-end corporate hospitality options, all-day and evening dining showcasing European and American influences, late night bar and beautifully designed accommodation including a number of skyline suites.
The Manchester hotel has also proven itself to be a pioneer in accessible design, with public facing spaces including the reception, restaurant, bars, lifts and toilets, as well as the private rooms, all featuring an accessible modern design element.
So what can we expect from the hotel? Well looking at the photos of the site in Manchester we can expect a destination hotel with some striking design elements, including a central atrium stretching over 5 floors and direct access into Welford Road Stadium. Runyons Restaurant also offers an impressive choice of all day dining, brunch, afternoon tea or a la carte options, with choices from burrata and seared scallops to Brooklyn steaks and burgers. (They also do a weekend bottomless brunch, so fingers crossed that makes its way to the Leicester hotel too!)
Hotel facilities include:
• 191 stylish bedrooms, including accessible (‘Liberty’) rooms
• The Lair Restaurant and Bar
• Runyon’s Atrium diner
• Extensive conferencing and events facilities both in the hotel and inside the stadium
• Ample car park and direct access into Welford Road Stadium
The hotel is set to open in summer 2022. Interior images displayed are from Hotel Brooklyn in Manchester and will differ from the exact interior at the Leicester site. The plan for the Welford Road site can be seen in the image below.
