PREVIEW: Glastonbudget

The UK’s biggest tribute festival returns to Leicestershire next month as Glastonbudget takes place in Wymeswold.

For a number of years now the festival has welcomed the very best of the UK’s tribute scene to the county for a big party weekend. This year looks set to be as big as ever, headlined by The Bootleg Beatles and with leading tributes to David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Pet Shop Boys, Oasis and many more. The perfect excuse to grab a beer and spend the weekend dancing to some of your favourite tracks.

Alongside the cover bands are a number of original acts hand picked by judges and covering a range of genres, so as well as your favourite old hits you can discover some new local talent too.

Away from the main stages there’ll be a silent disco running in the Big Top with 2 channels so you can choose between trance, dance and club anthems or indie rock, Brit pop and 90s classics. Or if you don’t fancy that then why not jump on the funfair? Of course there’ll also be a range of tasty street food choices and great drinks selection.

Glastonbudget falls over Jubilee Weekend this year and there will be all sorts of celebrations across the festival to mark the occasion. Always one of the key events in Leicestershire’s music calendar, don’t miss out!

Glastonbudget takes place in Wymeswold (LE12) from 2 – 4 June and tickets are on sale now. Day tickets, weekend tickets, camping and VIP options are all available. Find out more on the Glastonbudget website.
