FEATURE: The Musician makes the UK’s to 10 most active music venues

New research has revealed the UK’s most active music venues, and whilst Club Shoreditch in London may take the top ranking, one of Leicester’s own independents has made the top 10.

Yes, The Musician really is an underrated gem in the city, with music events happening so regularly they’re now officially the 10th most active music venue in the whole UK.

The study, conducted by event insurance specialists Protectivity, used ticket retail site Ticketmaster to analyse how many events are being held at each UK music venue over the next two years to find which are the most active.

The majority of the top places were held by London venues, with Leeds and Glasgow also taking up spots, with The Musician sliding into 10th place with 117 events.

Club Shoreditch ranked as the most active music venue in the UK, with approximately 442 events in total over the next two years.

Tiger Tiger London placed as the second most active UK music venue, with 368 events. This club is known for its weekly hip-hop, latin, and reggae club nights.

Ranking third is Trafik, in Shoreditch, with a total of 257 events, and features popular RnB and party nights, and weekly Sunday club nights.

Jazz Cafe in London ranks fourth with 231 events, while Green Note in London follows in fifth with 171 events.

The Musician is tucked away on Clyde Street in the city centre and specialises in rock, blues, folk and Americana. Often having live music on 6 times per week.
