How does live music on an outdoor stage every weekend through the summer sound? Free entry too! Great, right? Good news then, as The Soundhouse is hosting a launch party for their weekly Summer Sessions this Saturday (6 July) and early birds will even be able to enjoy a free bottle of Kopparberg.

Summer Sessions will take place at The Soundhouse on Southampton Street every Saturday and Sunday until September with free entry every week. The venue’s beer garden is a hidden gem in the Cultural Quarter and has recently undergone a full revamp, with brand new furniture to offer increased seating to be able to enjoy the acts performing on their outdoor stage.

As well as the outdoor stage and revamped seating, the garden walls are covered in designs by artists including award-winning Si Mitchell, who has worked for artists including Green Day, McFly and The Specials.

On Saturday 6 July between 2pm – 6pm, The Soundhouse is inviting people to enjoy a wonderful line-up of local talent including The Brandy Thieves’ Andrea Kenny, award-nominated acoustic duo Mia & The Moon, solo performer Andy Griffiths and artist and producer, Harri Georgio. There will also be a BBQ through the afternoon, drinks offers and, of course, a free bottle of Kopparberg for early arrivals.

Entry to all Summer Sessions events is free of charge with the venue being child friendly and dogs also welcome. The Soundhouse offers a range of drinks from their bar and has recently added Kopparberg Black to their draft selection. At Saturday’s launch event early guests will be able to enjoy a free bottle of one of Kopparberg’s favourite flavours including Strawberry and Lime and Mixed Fruits, as well as their brand new Passionfruit flavour, perfect for hot days through the summer.

The Soundhouse’s owner, Sue Lavender, commented, “We’re really excited to be running the Summer Sessions through until September. The garden has had a refurbishment and we have one of the only outdoor stages in the city. The acts we’ve got playing reflect some of Leicestershire’s best musical talent and customers are in for a treat. It’s free entry every week, so come down and enjoy the sunshine and music.”

Saturday’s launch runs from 2pm – 6pm and will be followed in the evening by Blakey’s Moral Code EP launch, which is also free entry. The Sessions will then run every Saturday and Sunday from 2pm – 6pm until mid-September. For the latest listings and artist line-ups please visit The Soundhouse’s Facebook page.
