One of Leicester’s most popular venues is expanding with the launch of The Kitchen at The Cookie this month. The Kitchen will be opening within The Cookie, which is located on High Street, and will offer a range of freshly prepared daytime food options, perfect for lunchtimes or an after work bite. What’s more we’re giving one of our readers the chance to be at the VIP launch event on Thursday 14 January.
The Cookie has made its name as the place to watch music and comedy in Leicester, with highlights including sell out shows from the likes of Royal Blood, George Ezra, Russell Kane and many more. Whilst the basement is playing host to the biggest new acts, The Cookie is now introducing the independently run Kitchen to offer breakfast, lunch and early evening bites and will be open until 7pm Wednesday to Sunday.
The launch of The Kitchen follows the opening of the independently run upstairs gin and cocktail bar, The Attic, which launched last year amid The Cookie’s 10th anniversary celebrations and has gone from strength to strength. Hard to believe it’s been over 10 years that The Cookie has been on High Street.
The Kitchen will be holding a VIP launch event on Thursday 14 January and we’re offering one reader plus guest the chance to go along and sample the food and drink. To be in with a chance of winning just answer the following simple question:
What street is The Cookie located on in Leicester?
Please fill in the form at the bottom to enter and the closing date for entries is Monday 11 January at midday. GOOD LUCK!
The Kitchen is open until 7pm from Wednesday to Sunday, the bar and coffee shop at The Cookie is open from 11am Tuesday to Sunday and The Attic is open from 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Both bars are open until 1am on Friday and Saturday and are open to the public outside of their regular opening hours whenever there is a performance in the downstairs venue.
Full information and details of ticketed events in The Cookie’s downstairs venue can be found online at www.thecookieleicester.co.uk.
