Following the closure of The Exchange earlier this month the space is set to open for trading on Tuesday 5 November under the ownership of Marc Van Rooyen, who is also the man in charge of neighbouring Manhattan34.

The Exchange Bar will operate with the same opening hours as the previous venue, being open 7 days a week for both daytime and evening trade.

With a few changes promised to the drinks selection and lines, Marc added that they were already working on plans for drinks based events, set to include wine and beer tastings held in the venue’s Snug space. “We want to introduce some new drink options into the venue and the Snug room offers a perfect setting for intimate tasting events.”

With Manhattan34 so well know for its bespoke cocktail menu, gin fans are in for a treat as The Exchange Bar will be inheriting a little of this unique creativity as the bar will also have their own bespoke gin infusions, created by the bar team.

“Our bespoke gin infusions will be something special for the bar and we’ll be working with some really interesting flavours that you won’t find anywhere else.”

Pre-Christmas the bar will focusing on their drinks offer but there is a plan to introduce a food offer in the new year.

A number of staff from The Exchange have been employed to continue working in the venue, which has made the transition into new ownership smooth for a swift opening.

Marc added, “The Exchange Bar is a wonderful spot in the heart of the Cultural Quarter, and whilst we want to maintain what worked we also want to put a new unique twist on some of those drinks options and events. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone in next week!”
