Leicester Comedy Festival is coming to an end this weekend. Have you all enjoyed it? Don’t worry if you haven’t seen much yet, there is still time to catch a show before the festival packs up for another year!

Our top tip for tonight is Jarred Christmas doing midnight comedy at The Belmont. This guy hosted the Preview Show in January and went down a storm. He’s proper funny like. Plus the show’s at midnight, you can go for dinner, have a few beers and then wind up at the comedy! If you’re too drunk to get home you’re in a hotel.

Our top tips for Saturday are Henning Wehn at The Phoenix. He’s German and makes jokes about football and the war. Lovely jubbly. Or if you have slightly more cash to splash why not head to Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year at the Y Theatre? Past winners include Jason Manford, Johnny Vegas and Mitch Benn and this year the line-up looks as good as ever. They compete for the title and £1000 and you get a great night out!

And on to Sunday, the final day of the festival and the last chance for some laughs. If you head over to De Montfort Hall you can catch that bloke off the telly, Stephen K Amos. He’s on TV all the time so he must be funny right? Or if you don’t want to leave the pub then plonk yourself in Firebug and catch Dan Antopolski. He’s a Triple Perrier Award nominee and gets rave reviews left, right and centre. Personally, we can’t think of a better way to see the festival out.

How is it all over so quickly?! Hurry up LCF 2012!!
