If queuing up in a shopping centre or outside in the cold to meet Santa isn’t your idea of fun, or if you’re more fur babies than actual babies, then The Soundhouse has the perfect thing for you!
The pub and music venue in the Cultural Quarter is putting on 2 special events this Christmas, Santa & Sounds (Saturday 21 December) and Santa & Hounds (Saturday 14 December). Prepare to get festive as you enter their pub grotto complete with Santa and Elves and enjoy live music, mulled wine and seasonal treats.
First up, on Saturday 14 December head down with your dogs for Santa & Hounds as your furry pal will get their chance for a photo with Santa and their own doggy present to unwrap. Santa’s Elf and Reindogs will be on hand to assist and there’ll be chilled Christmas sounds on for humans and dogs to all enjoy! The event runs from 1pm – 4.30pm and entry is free for everyone. If you want your doggo to meet Santa and get a present then you can book a slot for £5. Just email [email protected] to reserve a spot!
On Saturday 21 December it’s the children’s turn as Santa & Sounds runs from 1pm – 5pm. Treat the kids to meet and greet Santa just before Christmas and save yourselves from long, boring queues, as you get to enjoy Leicester’s only (*we think*) Pub Grotto. Incredible barbershop quartet, The Simpletones, will be on hand to keep you entertained with festive songs, and you can grab a seat for an afternoon of festive fun.
Entry is free to the event and it costs just £5 to meet Santa and get a present. You can book your slot to meet Santa from 1pm – 3.15pm and live music continues until 5pm. Just email soundhouse_leices[email protected] to reserve a spot!
Both events will be full of festive cheer, consisting of mulled wine, mince pies, brownies, hot chocolates and plenty of seasonal treats from Bitsy’s Emporium.
You can enjoy the grotto at The Soundhouse throughout December and join them on Thursday 12 and Thursday 19 December for special acoustic Christmas shows with all your favourite songs. Free entry on both nights!
