With the lockdown still in force our city centre favourites are forced to stay closed. They need our support more than ever and many have new ways for you to support them.

From cocktail deliveries to your door to new t-shirt designs, we’ve rounded up a few more city businesses for you to get behind.

A city centre favourite, the coffee shop stayed closed for a number of weeks but is now back open for takeaways from Wednesday – Sunday (10am – 3pm). With a range of freshly baked cakes, tasty sausage rolls and other pastries as well as their range of coffees and teas, make sure you stop by for a treat if you’re in town. Crafty is also open for collection or delivery from Thursday to Saturday. Collection can be ordered via the Crafty website and delivery is available through Uber Eats.

You all know Niche, the gorgeous little gift shop on Carts Lane in town, right? Well whilst non-essential shops have been forced to shut their doors again they’ve been busy working on a new online Etsy shop for their fabulous selection of prints. Check out Stanley Street Studios for the range. Of course you can also still continue to buy their wonderful range of gifts for home delivery via the Niche website.

Flowerworks

Brighten yours or someone else’s day with a fresh flower delivery. Leicester’s bespoke florist, Flowerworks, on Loseby Lane is open for online click & collect orders or delivery within Leicestershire. With a gorgeous range of bouquets and houseplants (which can also be paired with a box of Cocoa Amore chocolates) they’re perfect for gifting or a treat to brighten your extended time at home. They’ve also just announced some super exciting news that they’re going to be expanding into the shop next door, meaning there’ll be an even larger range of flowers and house plants for you to browse and shop. Check out the Flowerworks website for full details.

The Bottle Garden

Visits to The Bottle Garden are a weekend highlight, with the gorgeous interior and wonderful cocktail range. We may have to wait a little longer to visit but the good news is that they’re now delivering cocktails to your door! Yes, each weekend you can treat yourself to a range of their finest drinks with delivery across LE1, LE2, LE3 and LE4, with choices including Raspberry Rose Royale, Espresso Martini and Blood Orange Margarita. Visit their website to order and treat yourself.

The Very Bazaar

An absolute Leicester institution, The Very Bazaar has been in the city centre for many years and is a favourite for many jewellery, accessories, incence, ornaments and more. They’ve been closed since March but you can support them through purchasing a Very Bazaar t-shirt via Leicester Merch Aid. The fabulous design has been created by Leicester designed, Bearded Squirrel and is a brilliant wardrobe addition, whilst still supporting local. You can purchase yours in either black or white from the Leicester Merch Aid website.
