Leicester has so many wonderfully talented artists and creatives and Soft Touch Arts has now announced plans of its second Art Auction Fundraiser, allowing you to grab unique works by your favourite local artists whilst also raising money for the charity.
The Art Auction Fundraiser is a fantastic opportunity to acquire artwork from established artists and future stars of the art world, from both Leicestershire and further afield. All whilst enjoying a fun event, drinks and canapés, safe in the knowledge that the money is going to an excellent cause.
A hugely talented group of well-known and emerging artists have donated their artwork which will be auctioned on the night, along with a silent auction on selected artworks running prior to the event.
Soft Touch Arts is an award winning Leicestershire charity that changes the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people through encouraging young people in arts, media and music activities. This boosts their confidence and self-belief and encourages them to develop creative, social and employability skills.
The Art Auction aims to raise £10,000 which will go directly to their Creative Enterprise Programme which encourages young people that need extra help and support to make, market and sell their creative work. A selection of young people’s work will be included in the auction, offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase their work and build their confidence, with their work on offer alongside established artists.
Tickets are priced at £20 and include welcome fizz and canapés, entry to the auction, meet the artists and network with other guests and entry into a mystery artwork prize giveaway. The event is sponsored by Mattioli Woods, with food provided by Chutney Ivy.
The event takes places on Tuesday 1 October and tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.
