Summer’s Looking Up

If you didn’t like the look of the last Summer Sundae announcement then hopefully this one has more to whet your appetite! The festival has just added a whole host of top-notch (dare I say “less commercial”) bands to the line-up that will have all of you young musos scraping your pennies together for a ticket!

First up let’s celebrate the locals with Leicestershire favourites Young Knives. How can anybody not love a band who named their latest album after the Silver Arcade? Add to them the ska and reggae legends that are Toots and The Maytals, along with the return of Jim Jones Revue and Kitty, Daisy and Lewis. But that’s not all, no no no. Hold on tight for the fabulous Blood Red Shoes, radio favourites Dry The River, top new bands Pete and the Pirates, Yaaks, Factory Floor and The Antlers.

There’ll also be some singer-songwriter action from Teddy Thompson and the lovely Tom Baxter. Boyzone covered his song ‘Better’ don’t you know… should we mention that? Probably not!

The festival have also announced their day-by-day line-ups so you can start planning if you only want to buy a day ticket. Why would you though when weekend tickets are still on sale. For further details please visit the official website here.
