One of Leicestershire’s finest restaurants has honoured with 2 AA Rosettes.
Yes, in their tenth anniversary year as one of the finest Italian restaurants in the Midlands, Sapori Restaurant and Bar in Anstey has received the further AA recognition.
This coveted award is given to excellent restaurants that aim for and achieve higher standards and consistency, where a great precision is apparent in the cooking, with obvious attention to the selection of quality ingredients. The AA Inspector said that Sapori is “a place for accomplished cooking that runs the spectrum from Italian classics to dishes with an imaginative, contemporary spin.“
For anyone who’s dined at Sapori before the award will come as no surprise as they continue to impress on every visit. The family-run Leicestershire restaurant has consistently built on its successes, having been awarded their first single AA Rosette in 2018 and featuring in every Good Food Guide since 2014. They are also decorated with the celebrated Michelin Plate recommendation.
“We continually strive to be the best in terms of both cooking and service,” said Chef-Patron Andrea Scarpati. “Even during lockdown we have pivoted to provide a takeaway service of the highest quality so our guests could enjoy a little of that Sapori taste at home while the restaurant was closed. Now we are open to diners again and it is really the icing on the cake to receive such a prestigious award.”
